"Here's My Story And I'm Stickin' To It!"
Chapter Two: Working my way to the Top, or not!

Since working seemed so in grained in me by now, and I felt it necessary to stay close to my mom,  it just seemed natural to get another job rather than go to college. So after graduating from high school in 1982,  I bought a little house with my car accident insurance money and I took a class at a local Technical School. It wasn't long before I got a job  and went to work in the Mortgage Banking industry.  I started off as a Bank Teller, then moved over to the Dark Side - (LOL) - Lending.  I worked my way  up, down and all around the industry for 11 years before becoming an Official Mortgage Banking Industry Casualty.

One thing I learned in that business is that there is very little loyalty when it comes to dealing with other peoples money. What I mean is, when I was an Account Executive, loan officers and so called "friends" of mine would pull their clients loans from my company and go somewhere else  if it meant saving a buck or two. I don't necessarily blame them, it was just a difficult business for this type of gal to be in. I really started to hate it and  I hated who I had to try to be to get business for my company.

I also learned that most  people will do just about anything (including lying)to get a loan for their "dream home". They stretch themselves to the inth degree with no thought of what they might do should hard times come.
SIDE NOTE: Most people don't realize that by applying some sophisticated, and proprietary money skills called Mortgage Cycling, their mortgage can be paid off 15 to 20 years sooner. (No it's not the BI-WEEKLY thing. It's way more powerful)

Anyway, because of downsizing, buy-outs, mergers and one very hostile take over, I was laid-off 5 times in 11 years. In 1994 I finally said enough is enough, and I left the business.   After I licked my wounds for awhile   I started researching home based business opportunities.

That takes us to Chapter Three - Home Based Business Owner or Bust ( I busted!)
