Although I loved the Seattle area and hated to leave all of my extended family, (especially my SWEET Grandma T.) we had no other via options at the time. As it turns out, what we thought might be a temporary relocation project has turned in to a new adventure and life for us.
We are very blessed to be living in a rustic, log home in the woodsy mountains near Thompson Falls, Montana with a trout filled creek running through our property. But the best part is: There's NOT one stop light in the entire county! How about that? I certainly DON'T miss the traffic of Seattle!
I must admit it really is beautiful here. And it really is an ideal place to raise a family, there is no doubt about that.
I call these pictures "Room with a view", "Moonrise in Montana" and "God's Promise" All taken from my dining room window.
As you can imagine the wildlife in this area is abundant. We often see deer, elk, bear, moose, coyotes, and bald eagles. We haven't actually seen a Mountain Lion but we have heard one..... whoa! That was scary!

And besides all of the wild animals, we have plenty of pets. In our house, pets are people too, (or so they think) so we treat them with plenty love. We have a house cat, about 22 (give or take) outdoor cats, a Weenie dog and a 75 pound Golden Retriever, who still thinks he's a puppy. I am using one of the best dog training manuals online called Sit, Stay, Fetch to train that big rascal.
I also just came across some awesome information from a Canadian Vet named Dr. Andrew Jones. Maybe you have heard of him. Anyway, he exposes the secrets you wish you knew about taking care of your pets mostly right at home! It's really good stuff. It's called Vet Secrets Revealed.
